SO yesterday started off really lazy. It was one of those days where i felt awful, Andy felt awful(but he had to go to work poor guy) and the kid splayed outside. That is how the entire day went. The boys and i took a nap again today. I am trying so hard toget my energy back up and get tis gunk gone. Heres to hoping. Because of the way we were feeling we made the decision not to go to church. We have no nights of freedom right now and we needed to rest. The kids played outside with friends much of the evening. I love our street. Full of kids and everyone knows everyone so everyone watched out for each others kids. It is great when one set of parents is down in the dumps. lol. THen the injuries began. First off was steven. Apparently he is a stunt man and tried jumoing on to the back of our neighbors escalade powerwheel and rolled off the back and hit his head. Jackson walked him in and we checked him out put ice on it for about a second(that is all we could get him to sit) then he was back outside with the rest of the group. No more than 10 minutes later our neighbor Greg came over with Leighton who was playing with his daughter...She decided to ride her scooter down his driveway which is pretty steep and she wiped out. She now has a HUGE red bruised goose egg on her forehead and she scrapedup her hips pretty good. She was in for the night. Put ice onher and watched her. Called the boys in about 20 minutes later and ordered pizza read to everyone and put everyone to bed. What i thought would be an early night turned out to be a late night but that is ok. Everyone is in school so i will get caught up thursday. Well talk to you soon.

lazy day busy night
Wow. Life is so crazy. Today the boys and i did much of nothing. I worked on my blog as you can see and did laundry and stuff around the house. The boys played outside most of the day. It was so nice. They took a great nap. 3 hours long. The nice weather wears them out. When our neighbor got home he let the boys help him rotate his tires. They LOVED it. His wife took a couple pics so i will try to post later. THen the craziness started. We had cheer practice and t-ball practice tonight. This is usually every night. OUr only free day now is Sunday when we get home from church. We love it though. It is so fun having the kids at an age where they can play sports. Came home and had a thrown together dinner. Red beans and rice mac and cheese sausage and greenbeans. Nothing fancy. Now the kids are in bed and we are going to RELAX. well try to anyway. Andy and i are both feeling sick again. Tomorrow is a new day though ;)

Trip to Iowa
As most of you know We lost Andys Dad, Dan, To lung cancer August 14th. We had a service here that week but this last weekend we traveled along with Vicki, Melissa and her kids to Iowa for a Mass to honor his memory. Andy and i took this opportunity to spend some much need time with the kids and have a mini vaca. IT was such a great time. We love his family and enjoy spending time with them. We wish we could do it more often. While traveling with children can be stressful it has deffinatly gotten lot easier as the children get older. The were AWESOME!!!! We left at 9 wed night and got into dubuque at 5 thursday morning. Then we spent 20 hours sunday traveling back home and the kids we great the ENTIRE time. We couldnt have asked for any better. While in Dubuque we visited some of the houses where Andy grew up and Then we took the kids to the Field of dreams moie sight and to a great pumpkin patch. The weather was incredible. It was like Dan was smiling down on us from heaven saying i miss you but i love you and thank you for soming to honor me. This is deffinatly a trip that we will remember for ever.
FOr some reason it wont let me post any more pics right now so i will post more later today.

Leightons broken arm
Finally i got the pictures from Leighton breaking her arm off my camera. i set aside some time today to do some much needed blogging. It has been almost 2 months since LEighton broke her arm. Well elbow to be exact. She fell off the monkey bars at the park while taking her b-day pics. This has been my fear for as long as i have had children. She wa such a trooper though. Luckily we were right across the street from the hospital so we went over and within 2 hours she was casted and out. She has now been out of her cast for 4 weeks and her arm is just about as good as new.
